Editting the CSS file of your joomla template is easy and can be done fast from your Joomla admin. There is no effort you need to put like you do with the static html or other sites, which you edit with an editor and then save, and upload.

If you are in your joomla admin, navigate to  SITE---Template manager---site templates

Here you shall see the list of templates you are using. You will also see the assigned and default template given to your joomla website. Checkbox the template you want to edit and click on Edit CSS you see on the right top. This would open the CSS file for you, to edit.

Easily edit and manage your CSS file. After you are done, hit SAVE button. This would save your alterations done.
